We’ve also been to the park (Saturday) and had a rocking time. We played mightily for a good two hours then returned for Doctor Who. Me and the Rubster decided to play in the garden first (see the picture).

Whilst out, I spotted two dead baby birds trapped in the netting at the side of the house. They had fallen from their nest and got trapped and died. I did a **proper** dad thing and got them down. Initially I thought we’d bin them to be honest. The boys decided to name them and asked me to dig them a grave.

So … off we trotted to the top garden where I dug a grave and buried the birds. We all said a few words then trooped in to watch the Doctor.

Good times. It doesn’t seem like two years since I was looking at her in an incubator in SCBU, not daring to touch her or wonder when she’d be home.

She got a sand/water pit from the rest of us, a big girl princess bed from Nanna and a kitchen toy from granddad and grandma.

We had a little birthday tea with some kids from school. It was cracking seeing as they’re all so well behaved.

My boo….. 2!! Who’d have thunk it?

We’re at my mums for a visit then going off to the M-i-L for tea.

Amanda got a huge box of chocolates, a charm for her pandora bracelet, some flowers and gifts from the boys.

My mum got flowers, cards and a rather cool purse (thank you Ebay!) with a photo of the kids embossed on it.

Good times

They went dressed as evacuees. This is Tom as a happy evacuee. Also seconds before Ruby went mental for his flat cap (see next post)

He went right to the top of the observation tower as well; which is something I would never do!

Good times. After a tiring Valentines weekend I’m jiggered. So… Plans are:

Monday … Rest. Tuesday park, Weds swimming (hence snap of handsome number two son) Thursday Amanda is off so we’re out for the day then Friday I think we’ll visit my ma.

Then the usual swimming stylee weekend then back to work. Gulp.

Saying that, I might have a go at teaching Ruby some words other than daddy and OI!!!
