I’m crying. Two girls whose dad had brain cancer. He died.
These children should not have to be so brave. No kid should. Worry about playing out or toys yes; parents dying or having to care for their families - no.
30 years of CiN. I’ll always watch and always donate. But why is it still needed? We’re not moving on are we?

It’s all about the water innit? Sam went to the heats at Saddleworth last night.
He didn’t get through to the finals. It’s basically cos he is in the 10/11 group now and getting trounced by the eleven year olds.
It’s what he did when he was in the 8/9 group. He just needs to pick up his pace a bit. I’ve given him a list of pointers so we’ll see how he gets on!

Tom is currently singing on Boogie (Wii) game. He’s doing it because he knows we’ll have a go at Christmas and he wants to beat everyone!
Sam (being the independent type) has gone out with his mates somewhere.

My swimming buddies. Tom is really coming on with his swimming. After his lesson he came for a swim with me and Sam. Tom did four lengths breast stroke without stopping. As soon as he cracks front crawl then he will be stopping lessons.
He is almost there - just needs to master the breathing.
Sam is off to Halifax thus evening for a swimming gala. He swims for Saddleworth juniors dontyerkno.
I’ll post the results later. Off out Christmas shopping now!

The boys returned from the hairdressers. Sams looked very smart. I love him with longer hair but lately he has looked like a blummin’ scarecrow! Now he looks like Zac Efron. Whitwoo!
Tom looks super-smart. He’s had a kick-ass haircut. Pretty short on the sides AND top. He suits it like that though as his hair grows like a loo brush!

Basically consists of me going swimming with Sam while Tom has his lesson. Alternate weeks Ruby and A. come too. When it’s just me and Sam we do lengths (Sam routinely laps me) and Sam practices his tumble turns and dives too.
Ruby is a bit grumpy today. Not sure but maybe it’s cos I caught her necking my coffee this morning.
The boys have just gone out for thir hair cutting with A. They used to go to any old barber with me but now they have it styled.
Sam (10 but with a 14 year old Cypriot girlfriend!!) uses GHDs! Times have changed man, times have changed.

Dodged a bullet here! He wanted some Gormiti figures for £8. I also got a new suit today to wear at my cousins wedding in a couple of weeks.
It’s darn sarf. We’re going to Legoland for a couple of days first. Should be fun.

My brave boy! Hardly had a sniff of gas ‘n air. Never cried. Mouth wiiiide open. Filling done. He cool I tell thee, he cool!
He was a bit wobbly after the happy air but did a nice thing. He’s getting a bit big for the old public expression of love with ole dad but the second he was done he jumped up grabbed my arm and pulled it round him. Twas a happy moment!
